Personally i love all of Rusty lake’s games. I grew up playing their cube escape and I really have enjoyed their paid games as well. My fave is definitely Rusty Lake: Hotel. Perfect horror vibes, pretty simple point and click action. Lovely style.
Still pretty new to newgrounds- I see lots of artists doing art of each others' ocs in the art forum and was wondering if we were allowed to do forum games there (like a story or character design with audience votes/input). Or is there another forum where that kind of thing is more appropriate?
if you're ok with genderweird seniors I have these two :3 (you can pick either)
I am having issues exporting this it keeps giving it blurry edges I’m SORRY
[Edit: I’ve never done a pixel image before so let me know if its current form is not ok]

hellboy, jojo, hellraiser, most samurai media (kurosawa films, usagi yojimbo, a manga i shall not mention because the mangaka sucks)
Oh the very first volume of fantastic four! My brother had it and I read it cover to cover 10 billion times.
Also pokemon!
I like the body shape diversity and simple, focused design elements.
Sinux design on YouTube has great anatomy, composition and style videos
you have lots of fun dynamic shapes and relatively clean lines~
Unfortunately, the lines are pretty light. It’s hard for me to read. I would recommend investing in a good scanner, inking/penciling the lines darker, and doing some basic color/contrast adjustments either with your camera or using free photo editing software.
Also, while I like the fun dynamics, the fact that all lines are the same width make it hard to tell what’s most important in each panel. Also sometimes its hard to tell in what order I read certain panels.
I really like the shapes and design style!
I hope this doesn’t ruffle feathers but I honestly never felt Pibby needed a whole show. Like some concepts are better as concepts or short pieces, and I think the short pibby video was perfect. It conveyed all that it needed too, and I’m honestly doubtful a larger artistic endeavor would match its energy. Idk i guess I just don’t think every neat concept needs a full sized production.
I don’t think anyone should feel they ‘have to’ do things faster to compete…if you take longer on your pieces, you can always post WIPS or small images focusing on detail, gifs of the whole or partial process, etc. There are other ways to put out content!
That being said, I find learning to work quickly and a little sloppily can help a lot with creativity and learning to improve certain basics better. It can be fun and a way to let go of perfectionism. Saying ‘fuck it we ball’ is a necessary part of drawing imho.
I feel part of it is algorithm stuff where like, anger breeds more interaction (comments and replies) and more interaction means more ppl see and interact with your tweets so it actively makes ppl get more attention the more they stir up shit.
Honestly i hate rendering and usually do just basic color or B+W. Its fine to not render or even color all the time

to give you some context, he's Tulip's older cousin and is a rather grumpy teenager. also he wields a baseball bat lol
Fiddled around with his clothing a tad, wonder if this looks better.
I like this look! The visible stitching is a good touch. I think you could let him have pops of color- lots of teens like pairing black and grey with like green or red, looks edgy or cool at times. RN he kinds looks goth? But goth is great if thats what u want!!

AWWWWWWW SO CUTE
yeah i totally get what you mean! Sometimes art can feel too polished and airbrushed and aesthetically pleasant. I find it helps to look at more outsider/indie art for inspiration- I love zines and funky handdrawn comics for example. I like the energy that comes from 'weird' and 'ugly' art
very pleased with this temporarily disgraced demon lord hehe
