Image tagging for Image:Timmy The Tiger.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Timmy The Tiger.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image:Mc_at_Work.jpg listed for deletion
editAn image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Mc_at_Work.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Unspecified source for Image:Jack_Wins1_small.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Jack_Wins1_small.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:59, 1 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 01:59, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
The article David Petranker has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability; clearly an autobiography
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nyttend (talk) 00:21, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, bud, sorry to say your article you posted about yourself on the mainspace will not last long, though you're free to put it on your User page as you have. Cheers.--Milowent (talk) 02:01, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Can you please tell me what the difference is from my article , ok yes about myself in the third person and the articles of other photographers on here please do a search of current photographers - e.g Adam Ferguson, Emma Summerton, Walter Chin. I based my article around theres not promoting myself in any way not giving any details of competition etc. Just giving details about the work i do. And what do mean by code will stop deletion, what do i have to do to keep it up,
regards
David
- For information: Adam Ferguson (photographer), Emma Summerton and Walter Chin are all now also proposed for deletion on the same grounds as David Petranker. Wikipeterproject (talk) 01:34, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Further more, how much more notable do you want me to be I have work being exhibited around the world, I am Australia's leading mascot. cronulla shark, razorbacks, sydney fc, warratahs, west tigers. I am shooting such bands as Kiss, mental as Anything, poison, huey lewis and the news. I am also the main Photographer for Ferrari Australia. How much more do you want and especially when you see the way the other current photographers have there list. You guys have to have some kind of consistancy.
- You will need to meet the criteria for inclusion of creative professionals, which is found at WP:CREATIVE. Among other things, you would need to be able to verify any of the following:
- you, as a creative professional are regarded (by independent third parties) as an important figure or that you are widely cited by your peers (experts/notables in your field)
- you are known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique
- you have created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
- your work has become a significant monument, has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, has won significant critical attention, or is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.
- As you can see, it's not all that easy being notable. Even if you are a good photographer, which we have no reason to doubt. Hope this helps to explain the nomination for deletion. It's definately not personal. Wikipeterproject (talk) 23:54, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of David Petranker
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on David Petranker, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of David Petranker and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wikipeterproject (talk) 23:38, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
